V Turíně v roce 1917 Mario Zucco, IMIT (Měrka Ital Torino) zahájil výrobu měřidel, a to především pro rostoucí automobilový průmysl a zdravotnictví. V 50. letech, a to díky četným patentům a technologickým inovacím, začal výrobu termostatů, které se staly základními prvky uvnitř kotlů a spotřebičů.
V 80. letech, IMIT začal získávat i velké zkušenosti v elektronice a v krátkém čase, se stal jedním z největších výrobců elektronických zařízení pro řízení teploty, zejména termostaty. Společnost byla jedna z prvních v Itálii, která získala UNI EN ISO 9001.
