Tato česká firma se datuje již od roku 1875, kdy byla zaregistrována jejím prvním majitelem. Po složitém vývoji a rozdělení na dva subjekty byl název DESTILA založen v roce 1947. Výroba kotlů začala v roce 1975 s modelem DP, který se pyšnil ocelovým výměníkem vlastní výroby.
Modernizovaná verze DPL se vyrábí od roku 1989 s různými obměnami až do současnosti. V roce 1995 byla zahájena výroba závěsných plynových kotlů DPZ, následovaná výrobou plynových kotlů DPE s litinovým výměníkem italské výroby v roce 1996.
Nyní firma nabízí jak vlastní kotle DPL, tak kotle italské výroby, především značky Immergas a Sime. DESTILA se tak může pochlubit dlouhou tradicí a širokým sortimentem kvalitních kotlů pro různé potřeby.
