How to choose a gas valve

The gas valve provides the following functions: control of the gas flow to the burner, monitoring of the burner flame using a serve-regulator and regulation of the gas pressure on the burner. Furthermore, together with other elements, it ensures fully automatic regulation of the gas boiler.

HONEYWELL gas valve label description

The manufacturer of gas valves, Honeywell, indicates the exact type of valve on the product label. Here is an example of how to correctly determine the type.

  5. type designation second part

SIT gas valve label description
  1. 848 SIGMA type of gas fitting
  2. maximum gas pressure: 60 mbar
    gas regulation: 0.5 - 12 mbar
  3. The unique code of the gas fitting cannot be exchanged for another code. It can only be exchanged after confirmation by the manufacturer.
